Advancing to the Little League World Series last month created the journey of a lifetime for a remarkable group of players from Media, PA.
Those memories were augmented by surprises from both Chandler Bats and Emery Glove Co, which partnered with Phillies’ All-Star outfielder Nick Castellanos to craft special mementos of their tournament trail. Media captured the Mid-Atlantic Region title and won a game at the LLWS in Williamsport, PA. They played in front of 25,000 fans and millions more on television.
First, the team met with Castellanos in Williamsport, where each player received a replica Chandler bat. The bats were modeled after the one Castellanos used in the Little League Classic, as the Phillies faced the Washington Nationals, CBS News reported.
A week later, Castellanos and the Phils hosted the Media stars before a game at Citizens Bank Park. Emery founder Kevin Schneider and master craftsman Marcus “G” Gurule revealed the players would each be receiving their own Media / Phillies designed Emery custom glove.

The glove reveal at CBP capped a busy week that included the announced acquisition of Emery Glove Co. by Chandler Bats, as the rapidly growing custom glove company is in the process of integrating with the popular wood bat maker.
