The new Summit Pro 1627 Infield Model is a Japanese inspired featuring a slightly wider double laced heel, gap welt (between the index and middle fingers), and a somewhat shallower pocket. The shallower pocket, double laced heel and gap welt provides an optimal fielding surface for middle infielders. The 1627 model is a great choice for higher level youth players, all the way up to our Professional players that use this glove.
